Abstract

In recent decades, immersive technologies have created new possibilities for audiovisual production, allowing the user to intervene directly in the story and make him/her a participant. In this research, the production process of a 360º video is analysed, which aims to show in a simple way complex industrial processes such as the valorisation of value-added products through catalytic pyrolysis. This case study describes the pre-production, production and post-production phases and explains the narrative and technical choices made for the use of the 360º video format. The results show how the characteristics of this format contribute to the environmental awareness and education of users by presenting complex industrial concepts in an understandable way. The conclusions provide a guide for the replication of this product for science communication and educational content.
