Companies and content creators prioritize video content since more than 80% of online traffic is generated through this format. Although video production has historically been slow and expensive, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has simplified this process. AI-based video generators are affordable and produce quality content quickly and cheaply using advanced algorithms to analyze and combine images, text and audio, offering customization options such as background music, visual effects or tagging automatic people through facial recognition. The integration of AI in video editing is transforming Audiovisual Production, accelerating creative processes and improving their quality, although controversy has also been created about the consequences of its use. Generative AI video editors are essential tools for professionals and hobbyists alike, simplifying post-production and opening up new creative possibilities. This comparative study analyzes these tools to describe the capabilities, advantages and disadvantages of the most used platforms, adapting them to the needs of the world of Audiovisual Communication.
